چکیده

This article describes experimental investigations to determine the corrosion compatibility of candidate matrix materials a capillary-porous structure (CPS) with liquid tin-lithium alloy at high temperatures. The studies were conducted Sn 75 -Li 25 and samples 12Ch18Ni10Ti grade austenite stainless steel, VEL-3 vanadium, TT tantalum. Experiments on interaction CPS temperatures carried out an TiGrA setup based TGA/DSC 3+ thermogravimetric analyzer. paper provides description methodology conditions for conducting high-temperature tests. In course this work, experiments study in phase vanadium tantalum temperature range from 600 ℃ 1000 ℃. Based obtained results, thermal effects processes occurring as result determined. As analysis results it has been revealed that studied complex physical chemical take place, such as: selective dissolution components by (solvent); penetration component (tin) into steel depth; mass transfer dissolved metals solid metal liquid.

Effect of nitriding temperature on the nanostructure and corrosion properties of Nickel coated 304 stainless steel

Nickel films of 150 nm thickness were deposited on 304 stainless steel and post annealed under flow of nitrogen at different temperatures. The prepared samples were corrosion tested in 1.0 M H2SO4 solution using potentiodynamic polarization technique. Crystallographic and morphological structure of the samples were analysed by X-ray diffraction XRD and atomic force microscopy AFM respectively b...

Corrosion Behavior of Stainless Steel Clad Rebar

Stainless steel clad rebar (SCR) was investigated because it may become a cost-effective means of controlling corrosion in concrete under very aggressive environments. Sound SCR (316L cladding) resisted corrosion in saturated Ca(OH)2 solution (SCS) with up to 5 wt% chloride. Cladding breaks on SCR induced significant corrosion of exposed underlying CS in SCS with only 1 wt% chloride. A computer...

CORROSION RESISTANCE OF TiN COATED 316L STAINLESS STEEL IN ARTIFICIAL PHYSIOLOGICAL SOLUTION

The corrosion behavior of TiN coated 316L stainless steel in an artificial physiological solution was investigated by means of an electrochemical test. Two different PVD methods were used for film deposition: cathodic arc and reactive magnetron sputtering. The dependence of the corrosion resistance on the main deposition parameters (nitrogen pressure, substrate bias) was analyzed. For a better ...

Characterization of CrN/TiN PVD Coatings on 316L Stainless Steel

In order to further enhance tribological properties 316 Low carbon stainless steel (L SS) used on mechanical parts. CrN/TiN with DC magnetron sputtering sources was carried out on PVD 316 L SS. The micro structure of the CrN/TiN coatings were investigated by Scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and tribology properties were investigated on a Pin on Disc friction and wear ...

Corrosion at Sulphide Inclusions in Stainless Steel

Auger analysis was performed using a high resolution scanning auger electron microscope and auger electron spectroscopy. Elemental auger contour maps for corroded sulphide inclusions in stainless steel were presented. It was found that the copper enriched-manganese sulphide inclusions were uniformly corroded, which might be due to CU2S deposition on the surface of corroding inclusions. In contr...
