چکیده

Abstract In the present work, austenitic stainless steel (ASS) 304 foils with a thickness of 50 µm were first annealed at temperatures ranging from 700 to 1100 ? for 1 h obtain different microstructural characteristics. Then effects characteristics on formability ASS and quality drawn cups using micro deep drawing (MDD) studied, mechanism involved was discussed. The results show that as-received foil has poor cannot be used form cup MDD. Serious wrinkling problem occurs cup, height profile distribution mouth symmetry is quite non-uniform when annealing temperature ?. At 900 950 ?, are both characterized very few wrinkles, profile, uniform mouths cups. becomes increasingly significant further increase optimal obtained in this study reducing generation wrinkling, therefore improving With non-optimized microstructure, compressive stress circumferential direction inhomogeneous, which thought cause occurrence localized deformation till during

Analysis of Deep Drawing Process for Stainless Steel Micro-Channel Array

The stainless steel bipolar plate has received much attention due to the cost of graphite bipolar plates. Since the micro-channel of bipolar plates plays the role of fuel flow field, electric connector and fuel sealing, an investigation of the deep drawing process for stainless steel micro-channel arrays is reported in this work. The updated Lagrangian formulation, degenerated shell finite elem...

Effect of Thickness to Grain Size Ratio on Drawability for Micro Deep Drawing of AISI 304 Stainless Steel

Although deep drawing process in the macro scale are well developed, the known concepts cannot be applied to micro deep drawing through directly scale down the specimen and tooling size due to the so-called size effects. Therefore, tensile test and micro deep drawing experiments were conducted to generate the knowledge for the micro deep drawing process. Stainless steel 304 foils with 4 differe...

Numerical Determination of the Forming Limit Diagram for 304 Stainless Steel Based on Phase Change in Deep Drawing Process

Up to now a large number of models have been developed to measure or predict the damage in equipments. Some of these models have been implemented in ABAQUS software. To implement damage parameters in the software, it is necessary to perform complex and expensive practical tests. One of these damage models is Forming Limit Diagram (FLD).The purpose of this research is deriving required parameter...

Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Warm Deep Drawing Process of AA5052 Aluminum Alloy

Aluminum alloys have a high strength-to-weight ratio and proper anti-corrosion properties that are used in the automotive, shipbuilding and aerospace industries. The major problem with forming aluminum sheets is the low formability of aluminum sheets at room temperature. Therefore, in the present study, warm deep drawing (WDD) of AA5052-O aluminum alloy sheets with a thickness of 1mm was invest...
