Experimental Investigation of Vertical Density Profile of Medium Density Fiberboard in Hot Press

This research investigates the performance of medium density fiberboard (MDF) with respect to hot press parameters. The board, type glue, and production efficiency determine optimum temperature pressure for pressing. actual inside MDF board determines properties final product. Hence, optimal parameters desired product are experimentally obtained. Moreover, is investigated in terms its vertical profile, bending, internal bonding under various input temperature, pressure, cycle time, moisture content during manufacturing process. experimental study carried out by varying ranges 200–220 °C, 145–155 bar, 260–275 s, 8–10%, respectively. Consequently, a hot-pressing 220 155 time 256 8% identified required (0.64 N/mm2), bending (32 increase both core peak profile as per ASTM standard.
