Experimental Investigation of Relationship between Infiltration Rate and Soil Moisture under Rainfall Conditions

In this study, a mathematical expression describing the relationship between infiltration rate and soil moisture content was deduced based on Horton equation in order to study during rainfall process. Specific experimental data processes were used verify validity of equations analyze main factors affecting rate. The results indicate following: (1) demonstrated high degree accuracy. volumetric error increase cumulative 3.5% coefficient determination (R2) 0.87 42 tests. (2) obtained paper can well describe content; R2 fitted greater than 0.80 more 80% experiments. (3) is mainly influenced by initial higher content, lower rate, faster decreases with “relative stable rate” process infiltration.
