Experimental entanglement quantification for unknown quantum states in a semi-device-independent manner

چکیده

Using the concept of non-degenerate Bell inequality, we show that quantum entanglement, critical resource for various information processing tasks, can be quantified any unknown state in a semi-device-independent manner, where quantification is based on experimentally obtained probability distributions and prior knowledge dimension only. Specifically, as an application our approach to multi-level systems, quantify entanglement formation distillation qutrit-qutrit systems. In addition, demonstrate multi-partite further geometric measure three-qubit Our results supply general way reliably thus paving characterize many-body systems by quantifying involved entanglement.

Measurement-device-independent entanglement witnesses for all entangled quantum states.

The problem of demonstrating entanglement is central to quantum information processing applications. Resorting to standard entanglement witnesses requires one to perfectly trust the implementation of the measurements to be performed on the entangled state, which may be an unjustified assumption. Inspired by the recent work of F. Buscemi [Phys. Rev. Lett. 108, 200401 (2012)], we introduce the co...

Device-independent entanglement quantification and related applications.

We present a general method to quantify both bipartite and multipartite entanglement in a device-independent manner, meaning that we put a lower bound on the amount of entanglement present in a system based on the observed data only but independent of any quantum description of the employed devices. Some of the bounds we obtain, such as for the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt Bell inequality or the ...

Entanglement purification of unknown quantum states

A concern has been expressed that “the Jaynes principle can produce fake entanglement” [R. Horodecki et al., Phys. Rev. A 59, 1799 (1999)]. In this paper we discuss the general problem of distilling maximally entangled states from N copies of a bipartite quantum system about which only partial information is known, for instance in the form of a given expectation value. We point out that there i...

Experimental Measurement-Device-Independent Entanglement Detection

Entanglement is one of the most puzzling features of quantum theory and of great importance for the new field of quantum information. The determination whether a given state is entangled or not is one of the most challenging open problems of the field. Here we report on the experimental demonstration of measurement-device-independent (MDI) entanglement detection using witness method for general...
