Experimental assessment of a thermoelectric subcooler included in a transcritical CO2 refrigeration plant

This study brings an experimental research that has tested a real transcritical CO2 vapor compression cycle includes thermoelectric subcooler at the exit of gas-cooler refrigeration plant. The aforementioned technology hybridization increases COP systems as long subcooling system is properly designed and operated. facility studied been under constant ambient conditions (30 °C relative humidity 55%) maintaining evaporating temperature −10 °C; while voltage supplied to modules thermal resistances heat exchangers located have experimentally modified. fans these was modified implying performance deviation variation on power consumption cooling facility. results show increase 11.3% capacity 15.3% when are with 2 V 9 V. Moreover, importance optimizing auxiliary addressed along this research.
