Experimental and numerical investigation of driving potential of biomass-pellet hot air generator for coupling with absorption heat pump

This paper presents a numerical and experimental study of heating system that consists Hot Air Generator driven by biomass pellet burner to drive the NH3-H2O absorption heat pump made Robur. The aim this work is fully test for thermal potential, developing field, while driving medium capacities residential purposes, make model predicting efficiencies comparing conveyed in desorber pump. Numerical simulations were performed commercial software Ansys Fluent CFX. part was carried out laboratory Faculty Mechanical Engineering Nis, where temperature velocity measurements obtained compared results. Results mass airflow through 0.17 0.2552 kg/s, power 15, 18, 21, 24, 27 30 kW, with air inlet around 89 140 ?C. . efficiency goes from 1.01 1.37. loss over surfaces 0.6 0.9 kW depending on ambient surface temperatures. has potential be applied low-temperature spare combustion products residual hot can used different purposes.
