Experiences of Bromelain-Based Enzymatic Debridement (Nexobrid) in Burn Patients: A Clinical Report

چکیده
Early debridement (i.e., eschar removal) is regarded as a cornerstone for treating burn wounds. Although surgical the standard method complete removal of eschars, it has inefficiencies such blood loss, heat and poor selectivity, latter which means that both viable necrotic tissue are affected. To make up shortcomings, various alternative techniques have been developed. Nexobrid, mixture proteolytic enzymes with high bromelain content, emerged option in recent years due to its selectivity efficiency. This product enables dissolving without sacrificing or healthy tissue, preserving potential spontaneous epithelialization, accelerates wound healing leads better aesthetic outcomes Herein, we present our experience enzyme using Nexobrid.

Enzymatic debridement after mobile phone explosion: a case report.
It is estimated that over 90% of people own a mobile phone. Although rare, lithium-ion battery explosions can cause varying degrees of thermal burn injury. Recently, selective enzymatic debridement has gained importance in the management of burn patients, thanks to its simplicity, minimum invasiveness and safety. In this work, we describe a case of a burn injury caused by the explosion of a lit...

OBJECTIVES Injectable Bromelain Solution (IBS) is a modified investigational derivate of the medical grade bromelain-debriding pharmaceutical agent (NexoBrid) studied and approved for a rapid (four-hour single application), eschar-specific, deep burn debridement. We conducted an ex vivo study to determine the ability of IBS to dissolve-disrupt (enzymatic fasciotomy) Dupuytren's cords. MATERIA...

Background: Burns are common injuries that are usually covered with a layer of necrotic tissue called the eschar. Early removal of the eschar is the current standard of care, however, debridement using tangential excision is usually traumatic and may increase wound surface. In recent years a bromelain-based debriding agent called NexoBrid® that can remove the eschar selectively and thus causes ...

UNLABELLED The aim of the study was to present experience of doctors from the Center for Burns Treatment in Siemianowice Śląskie who use a Versajet system. MATERIAL AND METHODS Debridement with the use of a water jet was applied in 70 patients with IIb° /III° thermal burns in the period between 2009-2013. The corresponding evaluation involved duration of operation, locations, wound surfaces a...

BACKGROUND Severe burns of hands and arms are complex and challenging injuries. The Standard of care (SOC) - necrosectomy with skin grafting - is often associated with poor functional or aesthetic outcome. Enzymatic debridement (ED) is considered one promising alternative but, until recently, results proved to be highly variable. METHODS Between 04/2014 and 04/2015, 16 patients with deep part...
