Expanding food democracy: a perspective from the United States

Food democracy can be a tool to combat capitalist hegemony in the food system and increase citizen’s knowledge about alternatives obtaining from concentrated businesses. But for further democratic goals, it needs help create these as transformational spaces, seek genuine inclusion of underprivileged people governance, ensure that public forums deliberation are active respected by institutions.
