چکیده
Microbial polysaccharides are of great biotechnological and commercial interest have wide application in the food, cosmetic medicine industries. Exopolysaccharide (EPS) production by yeast Cryptococcus laurentii SD7, isolated from fresh water molluscs, was studied using agro-industrial byproducts as substrates submerged fermentation. The Central Composite Design (CCD) 23 used to study influence pH, different concentrations on sugarcane molasses corn steep liquor (CSL), for 48 hours. According results, highest EPS occurred at initial pH 5 8.4% concentration molasses, which were statistically significant variable 10% (p < 0.1). CSL had no range, thus, it can be lowest (0.3%). time course showed that while cell growth peaked within hours, (6.61 g L-1) 168 with a productivity about 0.04 L-1 h-1. medium remained approximately constant throughout fermentation process. C. SD7 potential low cost sustainable substrates.

Biosurfactant production by Bacillus subtilis using corn steep liquor as culture medium
In this work, biosurfactant production by Bacillus subtilis #573 was evaluated using corn steep liquor (CSL) as culture medium. The best results were obtained in a culture medium consisting of 10% (v/v) of CSL, with a biosurfactant production of about 1.3 g/l. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report describing biosurfactant production by B. subtilis using CSL as culture medium. S...
متن کاملProduction of Bacterial Cellulose by Gluconacetobacter hansenii Using Corn Steep Liquor As Nutrient Sources
Cellulose is mainly produced by plants, although many bacteria, especially those belonging to the genus Gluconacetobacter, produce a very peculiar form of cellulose with mechanical and structural properties that can be exploited in numerous applications. However, the production cost of bacterial cellulose (BC) is very high to the use of expensive culture media, poor yields, downstream processin...
متن کاملWaste Soybean Oil and Corn Steep Liquor as Economic Substrates for Bioemulsifier and Biodiesel Production by Candida lipolytica UCP 0998
Almost all oleaginous microorganisms are available for biodiesel production, and for the mechanism of oil accumulation, which is what makes a microbial approach economically competitive. This study investigated the potential that the yeast Candida lipolytica UCP0988, in an anamorphous state, has to produce simultaneously a bioemulsifier and to accumulate lipids using inexpensive and alternative...
متن کاملOptimization of lipids production by Cryptococcus laurentii 11 using cheese whey with molasses
This study aimed the optimization of culture condition and composition for production of Cryptococcus laurentii 11 biomass and lipids in cheese whey medium supplemented with sugarcane molasses. The optimization of pH, fermentation time, and molasses concentration according to a full factorial statistical experimental design was followed by a Plackett-Burman experimental design, which was used t...
متن کاملBrewer’s spent grain and corn steep liquor as alternative culture medium substrates for proteinase production by Streptomyces malaysiensis AMT-3
Brewer's spent grain and corn steep liquor or yeast extract were used as the sole organic forms for proteinase production by Streptomyces malaysiensis in submerged fermentation. The influence of the C and N concentrations, as well as the incubation periods, were assessed. Eight proteolytic bands were detected through gelatin-gel-electrophoresis in the various extracts obtained from the differen...
