Enhanced microwave absorbing performance of CoNi alloy nanoparticles anchored on a spherical carbon monolith.
CoNi alloy nanoparticles anchored on a spherical carbon monolith (CoNi-C) were prepared by a solvothermal route and subsequent heat treatment without any templates. Their permittivity and permeability behaviors were studied in the frequency range of 2-18 GHz. The CoNi-C composites showed the best microwave absorbing performances compared to those of Co-C and Ni-C. The maximum reflection loss of...

Nickel-based activated carbon was prepared from coconut shell activated carbon by electroless plating with palladium-free activation. The materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray energy dispersion spectroscopy (EDS), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), and vector network analyzer, respectively. The results show that the surface of the activated carbon was cover...
متن کاملCapacitive performance of porous carbon nanosheets derived from biomass cornstalk
Porous carbon nanosheets (aCS) formed by carbonization and chemical activation of biomass cornstalk are presented for capacitive energy storage. The obtained carbon possesses a two-dimensional (2D) sheet-like structure which is mainly composed of abundant micropores. Depending on the amount of KOH used in the activation step, the specific surface area of the carbon sheets varies from 388 to 173...

In the present work, magnetic nanocomposites of the multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) decorated with magnesium ferrite (MgFe2O4) nanoparticles were synthesized successfully by citrate-gel method. The shape, structure, size, and properties of the as-synthesized sample were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD), transmission electron...
متن کاملEffect of carbon black content on the microwave absorbing properties of CB/epoxy composites
To prevent serious electromagnetic interference, a single-layer and double layer wave-absorbing coating employing complex absorbents composed of carbon black with epoxy resin as matrix was prepared. The morphologies of carbon black /epoxy composites were characterized by scanning electron microscope and atomic force microscope, respectively. The carbon black particles exhibit obvious polyarom...
