Examining Parents Oral Hygiene Knowledge and Their Children’s Oral Hygiene Behaviors

The purpose of this quantitative study was to examine the relationship between a parent’s level oral hygiene knowledge and behaviors their children ages 7 17 in greater United States. theoretical framework Albert Bandura’s Social Cognitive Theory Health Belief Model guided study. Instruments included Oral Surveys Basic Methods 5th Edition Fourth National Survey China for data collection. Q Data analysis performed utilizing chi-square test independence determine likelihood child’s behaviors. Additionally, prevalence investigate characteristics that occurred at specified point time. According results, many parents displayed mostly positive knowledge. Emerging areas concerns application sealants teeth prevent dental caries what causes caries. Recommendations future research suggest are provided with proper educational literature regarding help factors cause researcher recommends integrating health education into school programs reinforcement (Simmer-Beck et al., 2015). also receive inform them on advantages brushing properly reduce occurrence
