چکیده

Friction stir welding (FSW) is the solid state technique which mostly utilized to join similar and dissimilar Al, Cu, Mg, their alloys. This research investigated that tensile strength of FSW Al6262 Al5456 4 mm thickness carried out using an H-13 tool pin along with different process variables such as rotational speed (TRS), (WS), tilt angle (TTA). The selected parameters are set TRS 900, 1100, 1400 rpm, WS 20, 30, 40 mm/min TTA 2, 2.5, 3° find significant on (TS). Taguchi L27 method taken create a number experiments recognize optimal level each parameter accomplish highest TS value. From experimental results witnessed, extreme (202.44 MPa) acquired at sample 22 when maintaining TRS-1400 WS-30 mm/min, TTA-2 degree, whereas minimum (165.88 attained 15 TRS-1100 TTA-3 degree. ANOVA outcome revealed most factor (23.24%) improves property joints, followed by weld 21.7% combination (16.17%). increment in does not play vital role improving value, MINITAB -17 software helped relation between regression equation.

Automatic seam-tracking of friction stir welded T-joints

In this research, a method for implementing automatic seam-tracking for friction stir welding, referred to hear as WeaveTrack, is presented. In this extrumum-seeking control technique, the tool weaves back and forth during welding to maintain the location where axial force is greatest, which is shown to be the center of the weld. Results demonstrate the effectiveness of this technique in tracki...

Seam-Tracking for Friction Stir Welded Lap Joints

This article presents a method for automatic seam-tracking in friction stir welding (FSW) of lap joints. In this method, tracking is accomplished by weaving the FSW tool back-and-forth perpendicular to the direction of travel during welding and monitoring force and torque signals. Research demonstrates the ability of this method to automatically track weld seam positions. Additionally, tensile ...

Optimization and Characterization of the Friction Stir Welded Sheets of AA 5754-H111: Monitoring of the Quality of Joints with Thermographic Techniques

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a solid-state welding process, based on frictional and stirring phenomena, that offers many advantages with respect to the traditional welding methods. However, several parameters can affect the quality of the produced joints. In this work, an experimental approach has been used for studying and optimizing the FSW process, applied on 5754-H111 aluminum plates. In ...

The effect of Zn element addition on dissimilar Al6061/AZ31 friction stir welded joints

In this study, friction stir butt welding of Mg and Al alloys with applying Zn interlayer was performed. To obtain optimum condition, a combination of two travel and three rotation speeds were selected. Mg-Zn and Mg-Al-Zn IMCs, Al solid solution and residual Zn, were the most common phases in the stirred zone, which eliminated the formation of Al-Mg intermetallics. The maximum mechanical proper...
