چکیده

The Karasjok–Central Lapland Greenstone Belt is one of the largest Palaeoproterozoic greenstone belts in Fennoscandian Shield and includes multiple (ultra)mafic intrusions, some with notable ore reserves, formed during three episodes at 2.44, 2.22 2.05 Ga. This study presents new mineralogical, geochronological isotopic data for Gállojávri ultramafic intrusion, Karasjok Belt, northern Norway. Previous petrogenetic modelling suggests that intrusion was emplaced as a conduit system open influx melt signs polybaric fractionation assimilation. Zircon U-Pb geochronology yields an age 2051 ± 8 Ma, interpreted to reflect magmatic crystallisation. Large variations signature over decimetres metres indicate incomplete magma mixing. In bulk samples, ?Nd(t) ranges from ?15 4. ?Hf(t) ?14 ?1. Bulk 87Sr/86Sr(t) shows apparent range 0.5041 0.7072: anomalously low values general alteration indicates 87Sr/86Sr non-primary, whereas less mobile Sm-Nd/ Lu-Hf systems are represent primary signatures. We ascribe large Nd Hf signatures local melting or dissolution xenoliths variably contaminated into semi-consolidated chamber, consistent model involving variable replenishment crustal interaction. most evolved cannot be accounted by interaction Archaean basement, indicating presence unidentified components depth. many similarities other c. Constraints on the U-Pb isotopic systematics of Mars inferred from a combined U-Pb, Rb-Sr, and Sm-Nd isotopic study of the Martian meteorite Zagami

Uranium-lead, Rb-Sr, and Sm-Nd isotopic analyses have been performed on the same whole-rock, mineral, and leachate fractions of the basaltic martian meteorite Zagami to better constrain the U-Pb isotopic systematics of martian materials. Although the Rb-Sr and Sm-Nd systems define concordant crystallization ages of 166 6 Ma and 166 12 Ma, respectively, the U-Pb isotopic system is disturbed. Nev...

The origin of geochemical diversity of lunar mantle sources inferred from the combined U–Pb, Rb–Sr, and Sm–Nd isotope systematics of mare basalt 10017

The results of our combined U–Pb, Rb–Sr, and Sm–Nd isotope study of mare basalt 10017 contribute to the understanding of the petrogenetic processes involved in the origin of geochemical diversity in lunar mare basalt sources, as well as the U–Pb isotope systematics of the Moon. The Rb–Sr, Sm–Nd, and U–Pb isotope systems yield concordant crystallization ages of 3.633 ± 0.057 Ga, 3.678 ± 0.069 Ga...

THE AGE OF TISSINT: Sm-Nd & Rb-Sr ISOTOPE SYSTEMATICS OF A MARTIAN METEORITE FALL

Introduction: The recently acquired meteorite Tissint is the first recognized fall of a depleted shergottite. Other such shergottites were found in the hot deserts (e.g., NWA 1195, Dhofar 019, DAG 476) or in the Antarctic cold desert (e.g., QUE 94201, Y980459) and, in many cases, have disturbed isotopic systematics due to terrestrial contamination [1-4]. Tissint represents the freshest sample o...

MARE BASALT PETROGENESIS REVISITED: Rb/Sr, Sm/Nd and Lu/Hf FRACTIONATION FACTORS, MANTLE SOURCE REGIONS AND CRUSTAL CONTAMINATION

Introduction: Many questions regarding the petrogenesis of mare basalts remain unresolved. Trace element and isotope geochemists tend to view the range of mare basalt compositional groups as independent primary magmas and develop mantle melting models to explain the compositional diversity [e.g. 1, 2, 3]. On the other hand, petrologists view the mare basalt suites as non-primary and suggest tha...
