The article is devoted to the study of evolution masculine stereotypes represented in Korean language. Language an integral part culture, it reflects changes social consciousness, while lexis language first react sociocultural transformations taking place society. material for was traditional paremias, modern proverbs, metaphors, and neologisms about men. paremias convey ideas hegemonic masculinity absolute superiority Men proverbs are portrayed from positive side, they emphasize dignity various achievements men every possible way. On other hand, linguistic allows us say that conceptualization changing — male image becomes less authoritarian new images natural appearing. Contemporary society still largely androcentric, but have undergone numerous over years, more feminine replacing a patriarchal Thus, metaphors reflect perception person, regardless gender: much common with women.
