Evaluation size and number of yellow potato tubers under different planting densities using zero-inflated models

چکیده
A field study was carried out on the cultivation of yellow diploid potato (Solanum tuberosum Phureja Group) to evaluate influence planting density associated with distances between plants 30, 40, and 50 cm rows paths 100 tuber count sizes less than 2 cm, 2-4 4-6 more 6 cm. At time harvest tubers, they were classified by size respective made. The modelling counts done means usual negative binomial regression inflated zeros option. zero-inflated models showed a significant effect sowing in that superior 4 while model it case lower results are attributes interest both agronomic management this crop industrial so relationship we found can be adopted areas generate desired for improving production guiding process industrialization.

متن کاملZero-Inflated Poisson and Zero-Inflated Negative Binomial Models Using the COUNTREG Procedure
Real-life count data are frequently characterized by overdispersion and excess zeros. Zero-inflated count models provide a parsimonious yet powerful way to model this type of situation. Such models assume that the data are a mixture of two separate data generation processes: one generates only zeros, and the other is either a Poisson or a negative binomial data-generating process. The result of...
متن کاملStructural zeroes and zero-inflated models
SUMMARY In psychosocial and behavioral studies count outcomes recording the frequencies of the occurrence of some health or behavior outcomes (such as the number of unprotected sexual behaviors during a period of time) often contain a preponderance of zeroes because of the presence of 'structural zeroes' that occur when some subjects are not at risk for the behavior of interest. Unlike random z...
متن کاملConsistent estimation of zero-inflated count models.
Applications of zero-inflated count data models have proliferated in health economics. However, zero-inflated Poisson or zero-inflated negative binomial maximum likelihood estimators are not robust to misspecification. This article proposes Poisson quasi-likelihood estimators as an alternative. These estimators are consistent in the presence of excess zeros without having to specify the full di...
متن کاملEvaluation of Agronomic Attributes of Canola Cultivars under Different Plant Densities and Application of Humic Acid
To investigate the effect of humic acid application on agronomic characteristics of canola (Brassica napus L.) genotypes in different plant densities, a factorial split-plot experiment was performed using a randomized complete block design with three replications in the Seed and Plant Improvement Institute, Karaj, Iran. Plant density at three levels of 40, 60 and 80 plants/m2 and humic acid at ...
