چکیده
Background: In our study, we aimed to examine the relationship between trauma-related thoracic vertebral fractures and/or rib location, age and gender. Methods: Between January 1, 2020 December 31, 2020, 100 patients with fracture were included in study. Rib analyzed according age, gender, level type. The correlation was investigated. Results: 72% of male 28% female, mean 48.49 ± 18.83. Thoracic corpus detected most frequently T8 22 T1 at least 1 patient. Spinous process found be highest T2 9 patients, patient each T5, T6, T12. Transverse processes seen T9 a maximum 5 patients. observed more on right. Displaced common 6th 7th ribs, non-displaced 5th ribs Left rib, 6 displaced 8 When examined depending variable, it determined that spinous, T3 T5 corpus, right 4,6,8,10 left 2 4 differ variable (p<0.05). T7 body Conclusion: coexistence should kept mind trauma plans for diagnosis treatment made accordingly.

متن کاملImproving vertebra segmentation through joint vertebra-rib atlases
Accurate spine segmentation allows for improved identification and quantitative characterization of abnormalities of the vertebra, such as vertebral fractures. However, in existing automated vertebra segmentation methods on computed tomography (CT) images, leakage into nearby bones such as ribs occurs due to the close proximity of these visibly intense structures in a 3D CT volume. To reduce th...

متن کاملEvaluation of intramedullary rib splints for less-invasive stabilisation of rib fractures.
BACKGROUND Intramedullary fixation of rib fractures with generic Kirschner wires has been practiced for over 50 years. However, this technique has not been advanced to address reported complications of wire migration and cut-out. This biomechanical study evaluated a novel rib splint designed to replicate the less-invasive fixation approach of Kirschner wires while mitigating their associated co...
