Evaluation of the Maximum Cognitive Distance per Exit Sign Lighting Colour

Exit sign lightings shorten evacuation time by informing evacuees of the direction to a safe area . As information included in exit lighting is easily recognized evacuees, required for route choice and probability moving wrong are reduced. In this study, we examined method improve cognitive performance using color. The maximum distance was measured seven colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, navy, purple) visible region, from which color with best derived. red, purple have longer than mainly used Korea. However, there no statistically significant differences.
