چکیده
Quest to reduce challenges of high structural weight and cost metallic components is increasing. It has led their replacement with carbon Kevlar fibers reinforced polymer (FRP) composites. These aforementioned problems can be further solved through hybridization carbon/glass (CG) Kevlar/glass (KG) the manufacturing materials usage, not at detriment properties. Also, investigation into tensile properties, diffusivity, service life germane. Therefore, present study focuses on influence CG KG seawater life, strengths composite systems, hydrothermal aging. The hybrid composites were aged in for 50, 150, 300 days temperatures 20, 40, 60°C. From results obtained, it was evident that maximum moisture absorption both FRP occurred 60°C obtained unaged counterparts. exhibited lowest 150 days. retention showed 75% 70% 100 years aging temperature 40°C. samples promising behaviors various marine outdoor applications.

Effect of Moisture Absorption on the Tensile Behavior of Woven Hybrid Natural Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composites
Natural fibers are receiving considerable attention as substitutes for synthetic fiber reinforcements such as glass in polymer due to their low density, low cost, acceptable specific strength, reduced tool wear and respiratory irritation and renewable resources. The fibers are not uniformly distributed in the randomly oriented fiber reinforced hybrid composites due to manual lay-up and fibers a...
