Evaluation of Platelet Indexes of HBsAg Positive Patients

OBJECTIVE: Hepatitis B virus is the most important cause of chronic liver inflammation. Studies showing that platelets have functions as an inflammatory trigger in cases inflammation increased recent years. Expressed platelet (PLT) indices; volume (MPV), distribution width (PDW), and percentage (PCT) values; it one markers provide information about function activation platelets. In this study, HBsAg positive negative patients, aimed to evaluate parameters PLT, MPV, PDW PCT. MATERIALS AND METHODS: retrospective results 193 patients who applied Infectious Diseases Outpatient Clinic Uşak University Faculty Medicine Training Research Hospital were evaluated. The values PDW, PCT MPV determined using a hemogram device. Student t-test one- way ANOVA test used for comparison between groups. A value P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.
