چکیده

Background: The integration of different imaging technologies such as computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MRI) assists clinicians in diagnosing several neurological diseases at an initial stage, thereby inhibiting their development into serious medical conditions. With respect to the severity increasing popularity tools, current study has evaluated findings CT MRI examining disorders. Methods: A retrospective was conducted faculty applied sciences, King Abdul-Aziz University from September 2017 2018 including details 43 patients with complaints potential disturbances headache, oligodendroglioma, CNS infiltration, hypoxia, weakness, epilepsy multiple sclerosis. history age, gender, reason for examination study. Results: results showed that age group 21 40 years were more prone developing major reasons individuals found be headaches (n = 7), sclerosis 5) 3). evaluation patients’ records revealed only 4 underwent scans; however, all them went through MRI. Statistically significant obtained scanned examined rather than CT. Conclusions: successful conditions comparison scan. further suggests can used integral diagnostic approach understanding central nervous system.

Bimodal magnetic resonance imaging-computed tomography nanoprobes: A Review

Bimodal imaging combines two imaging modalities in order to benefit from their advantages and compensate the limitations of each modality. This technique could accurately detect diseases for diagnostic purposes. Nanoparticles simultaneously offer diagnostic data via various imaging modalities owing to their unique properties. Moreover, bimodal nanoprobes could be incorporated into theranostic s...

Artifacts of Titanium, Zirconium, and Binary Titanium-Zirconium Abutments in Compute Tomography, Cone Beam Computed Tomography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Aim: The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate imaging artifacts induced by Titanium, Zirconium, Titanium-Zirconium abutments in CT, MRI and CBCT imaging modalities. Methods: A 4×8mm titanium fixture was inserted in a dry human mandible. Titanium, Zirconium and Titanium–Zirconium abutments measuring 10.5 mm in height are located on the fixture, one by one. Each abutment was scan...

Tumour oxygenation measurements using computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging

Multiple factors determine the resistance of tumours against radiation treatment (RT) and chemotherapy. Tumours may show an intrinsic, genetically determined inherent resistance. However, extrinsic physiological (environmental) factors are also important. Most critical is the presence of less or inadequate and heterogeneous vascular networks leading to chronic ‘diffusion-limited’ tumour hypoxia...

Non-invasive coronary imaging: computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging?

Non-invasive coronary imaging has recently seen a rapid expansion of interest, fuelled largely by technical advances in both computed tomography (CT) and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR). The race is on for these two modalities to provide routine and robust imaging of coronary arteries in clinical practice. The rate of this progress has inevitably provided a bewildering array of develop...
