چکیده
Objectives: Hemoglobinopathies are serious genetic blood disorders requiring lifelong transfusions and treatment in its most severe chronic form. If undiagnosed or untreated, these ultimately lead to death. South Asia especially India, Pakistan, Bangladesh has high populations of hemoglobinopathies. In there an estimated 100,000 thalassemia majors patients nearly 3.5 4 million carriers this disorder. Tribal India have a range 5–40% sickle cell anemia (SCA) sufferers. The aim the study was detect hemoglobinopathies by electrophoresis microcytic hypochromic young population area covered tertiary care center at Index Medical College Hospital. Methods: A cross-sectional carried out hospital rural Indore on (10–30 years age group) who attended outpatient department from June 2018 March 2020. Total 517 cases moderate were included study. All subjected series hematological investigations, which include complete hemogram, peripheral smear, some standard procedures. Sysmex XS800i fully automated Cell counter used for count. It is 5-part differential instrument. reports all five subpopulations, namely, neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils, monocytes, lymphocytes. smear test look abnormalities cells. Results: study, 34.4% positive Hb 65.6% negative. On electrophoresis, number 34.3%, trait – 20.8%, beta-thalassemia 29.8% major observed. hemoglobinopathies, 73 females, 28.8% having trait, 27.4% SCA 23.3% beta-thalassemia, 20.5% trait. Of 105 males, 30.5% 9.5% 39.0% SCA, 21.0% Conclusion: ANMs, ASHA, Anganwadis should be taught about importance screening So that they can explain purpose female during pregnancy families areas. At primary level, CHCs PHCs equipped with instruments basic testing

Hereditary hypochromic microcytic anemia in the laboratory rat.
The group of 17 irradiated rats including the animal that produced anemic progeny (X2) belonged to a stock of rats randomly bred in our laboratory since 1930. The X2 female was one of five females in a litter, which were X-irradiated under conditions reported earlier (SLADICSIMIC et al. 1963). All irradiated females were mated with normal males from the stock and brother-sister matings for each...
متن کاملMicrocytic hypochromic anemia in idiopathic pulmonary hemosiderosis: a diagnostic pitfall.
Idiopathic pulmonary hemosiderosis (IPH) is a rare, life-threatening disease of uncertain etiology, characterized by recurrent intra-alveolar hemorrhages and usually afflicting young adults or children(l). Symptoms of lung hemorrhage are often few and atypical(2). Consequently, the condition may go unrecognized for a few years or months, presenting as recurrent iron deficiency anemia with no ac...

BACKGROUND Microcytic hypochromic anemia is a common condition in clinical practice, and alpha-thalassemia has to be considered as a differential diagnosis. AIMS This study was conducted to evaluate the frequency of alpha-gene, beta-gene and hemoglobin variant numbers in subjects with microcytic hypochromic anemia. SETTING AND DESIGNS Population-based case-control study in the Iranian popul...
متن کاملEvaluation of Alpha-Thalassemia Mutations in Cases with Hypochromic Microcytic Anemia: The İstanbul Perspective
OBJECTIVE Alpha thalassemia syndromes are caused by mutations on one or more of the four α-globin genes. Mutations could be either more commonly deletional or non-deletional. As some deletions (3.7 and 4.2) cause α+-thalassemia, some cause (-20.5, MED, THAI, FIL) α0 -thalassemia. The aim of this study was to determine alpha thalassemia mutations in patients with unsolved hypochromic microcytic ...
متن کاملErythrocyte Catalase Activity in More Frequent Microcytic Hypochromic Anemia: Beta-Thalassemia Trait and Iron Deficiency Anemia
Most common microcytic hypochromic anemias are iron deficiency anemia (IDA) and β-thalassemia trait (BTT), in which oxidative stress (OxS) has an essential role. Catalase causes detoxification of H2O2 in cells, and it is an indispensable antioxidant enzyme. The study was designed to measure erythrocyte catalase activity (ECAT) in patients with IDA (10) or BTT (21), to relate it with thalassemia...
