چکیده
Objective: The purpose of this in vitro study is that NiTi esthetic arch wires are preferred to match estheticbraces; but the presence coating layer greatly affect friction during sliding mechanics. The aims were evaluate load deflection and influence surface roughness with thecoating material types on frictional force coated nickel titanium wires.Method: sample consisted 90 segments uncoated Nickle archwires for three tests (friction test, test loading test) 45 segment each involvingtwo wire dimensions (0.016 × 0.022 0.019 0.025 inches). static was measuredthrough pulling through a set ceramic brackets by universal testing machine while, thesurface topography assessed using Atomic microscope (AFM) deflectiontest also measured. data analyzed one-way analysis variance (ANOVA) Tukey’s posthoc significance difference tests. Differences considered significant at P<0.05.Results: forces gold lesser than both control(uncoated) niti epoxy coatedwire dimention (0.016×0.022 0.019×0.025) inch. Surface wiresis higher control dimentions. Load thancoated (0.016×0.022) inches dimension. Conclusion: plated had lower (control wires).Surface control(uncoated)arch wire. forceof wires.

Comparison of frictional forces between aesthetic orthodontic coated wires and self-ligation brackets
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of polymer- and rhodium-coated wires compared to uncoated wires by measuring the frictional forces using self-ligation brackets. METHODS 0.016-inch nickel titanium (NiTi) wires and 0.017 × 0.025-inch stainless steel (SS) wires were used, and the angulations between the brackets and wires were set to 0°, 5°, and 10°. Upp...

Introduction: When using sliding mechanics for space closure during orthodontic treatment, friction occurs at the bracket-wire interface. The aim of this study was to evaluate the frictional resistance between monocrystalline (ICE) brackets and Stainless Steel, Beta TMA and NiTi wires. Methods: In this experimental study, we used 5 different types of orthodontic wires. Brackets and wires wer...
