چکیده
Objective: The Achillea species have been used to treat various ailments due its anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, spasmolytic and cholagogue effects in the Turkish traditional medicine. However, there is no biological activity studies on some except for well-knowns. This work aimed determine antioxidant, antimicrobial cytotoxic activities of crude ethanolic extracts fractions sintenisii using vitro methods.
Methods: antioxidant was investigated by DPPH (1,1´-diphenyl- 2-picrylhydrazyl), ABTS (2,2´-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) radical scavenging, total phenol flavonoid content, iron chelating Antimicrobial evaluated micro-plate dilution method against five test organisms. Cytotoxicity determined MTT MCF-7 breast cancer cell line PC-3 prostate line. Apoptosis also measured AO/EB staining. Results: n-Hexane showed highest activities, respectively. Administration cells a concentration dependent inhibition proliferation. anti-proliferation effect could be via apoptosis associated with death. Conclusion: results that demonstrated antimicrobial, activity, supports claims usage.
