Evaluation of hydrological modeling using climatic station and gridded precipitation dataset

چکیده
The conventional rainfall data estimates are relatively accurate at some points of the region. interpolation such type approximates actual rainfield however in scarce regions; resulted is rough estimate events. In regions like Indus basin Pakistan, obtained through remote sensing can be very useful. This research evaluates two types gridded i.e., European Reanalysis (ERA) interim and Japanese 55 years (JRA-55) along with climatic station for three small dams Pakistan. Since no measured flow available these dams, nearest possible catchments where calibrated parameters then used simulating from all using Soil Water Assessment Tool (SWAT). results comparison rainguage precipitation shows that highly overestimates data. Similar were observed simulated by SWAT model. Peak flood calculated JRA-55 while Era-Interim peak floods comparable to stations catchments.

scour modeling piles of kambuzia industrial city bridge using hec-ras and artificial neural network
today, scouring is one of the important topics in the river and coastal engineering so that the most destruction in the bridges is occurred due to this phenomenon. whereas the bridges are assumed as the most important connecting structures in the communications roads in the country and their importance is doubled while floodwater, thus exact design and maintenance thereof is very crucial. f...
Development and analysis of a 50-year high-resolution daily gridded precipitation dataset over Spain (Spain02)
In this paper we present a new publicly available high-resolution daily precipitation gridded dataset developed for peninsular Spain and the Balearic islands using 2756 quality-controlled stations (this dataset is referred to as Spain02). The grid has a regular 0.2 (aprox. 20km) horizontal resolution and spans the period from 1950 to 2003. Different interpolation methods were tested using a cro...
متن کاملEstimating Historical California Precipitation Phase Trends Using Gridded Precipitation, Precipitation Phase, and Elevation Data
Climate change projections for California indicate reduction in the percentage of precipitation that falls as snow, and increase in the percentage that falls as rain, due to warmer temperatures in the future. Previous work has shown overall decreases in rainfall / snowfall ratios for the western US over the last 60 years. Of interest in this study is the quantification of snow/rain ratios for s...
متن کاملComparison and evaluation of satellite derived precipitation products for hydrological modeling of the Zambezi River Basin
In the framework of the African DAms ProjecT (ADAPT), an integrated water resource management study in the Zambezi Basin is currently under development. In view of the sparse gauging network for rainfall monitoring, the observations from spaceborne instrumentation currently produce the only available rainfall data for a large part of the basin. Three operational and acknowledged high resolution...
