Evaluation of Heat Flux Distribution Characteristics of a Concentrated Solar Dish Collector with different geometric indices

Abstract The concentrated solar dish collector is a promising technology for generating both electricity and thermal energy together it termed as photovoltaic thermal. important component of the parabolic absorber; where all lights are falling. present paper has investigated heat flux distribution characteristics flat plate absorber based by using ray-tracing simulations. In concentrating collector, rim angle diameter significant factor distributions. study reported average distribution, maximum intensity non-uniformity different geometrical conditions. rate attains between 35 to 55° any diameter. Where peak raises concerning occurred at 90°. increase causes over surface. mainly influenced angle, not When 15 & 75°, 2.5 10 respectively whichever diameters. A critical produces factor. Results shows that optimization contribution decreasing index concentrator; most valuable coupled applications.
