Evaluation of Congestion Aware Social Metrics for Centrality-Based Routing

Opportunistic networks utilize pocket switching for routing where each node forwards its messages to a suitable next node. The selection of the forwarder is crucial efficient performance protocol. In any opportunistic network, some nodes have paramount role in process and these could be identified with assistance existing centrality measures available network theory. However, central tend suffer from congestion because large number that are relatively less attempt forward their payload increase probability message delivery. This paper evaluates mechanisms transform social encounters into aware metrics so high-ranking downgraded when they encounter congestion. transformations aimed at aggregating connectivity patterns implicitly accumulate information utilized by purposes. We analyzed metrics’ computed using simulation on three real-world traces. results revealed betweenness along holds potential deliver competitive messages. Additionally, proposed significantly balance load among nodes.
