چکیده

This study aims to evaluate concrete having Waste Marble Powder (WMP) as partial replacement of cement. is the metamorphic form limestone (CaCO3) and WMP was chosen substitute cement on account its high calcium oxide content. by-product marble industry an environmental burden. The manufacturing also environmentally hazardous owing emission greenhouse gases. Thus, recycling in place offers two ecological advantages. Thirdly, has a specific gravity 2.6 against that 3.15 for cement, which reduces weight finished products. Based previous studies, five different mixes were prepared 0, 5, 10, 15 15% levels. samples evaluated both through destructive non-destructive tests. Destructive tests included compressive, tensile flexural strengths, whereas comprised ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) rebound hammer. It observed workability decreases with inclusion higher water absorption, inhibits lubrication particles. strength improves up level 10% by mass densification created finer un-hydrated particles, act hard inclusions. Beyond 10%, starts declining due insufficient quantity matrix, binding Schmidt numbers authenticate compressive results: number increases beyond it decreases. results UPV indicate increase content: attributed compactness composite Doi: 10.28991/cej-2021-03091637 Full Text: PDF

Partial Replacement of Metakaoline in Cement Concrete

Concrete is the extensively used construction material in the world. However, environmental concerns both in terms of damage caused by the extraction of raw material and CO2 emission during cement manufacture have brought pressure to reduce cement consumption by the use of supplementary materials. The utilization of calcined clay, in the form of metakaolin (MK) in concrete has received consider...

Studies on Glass Powder as Partial Replacement of Cement in Concrete Production

Cement manufacturing industry is one of the carbon dioxide emitting sources besides deforestation and burning of fossil fuels. The global warming is caused by the emission of green house gases, such as CO2, to the atmosphere. Among the greenhouse gases,CO2 contributes about 65% of global warming. The global cement industry contributes about 7% of greenhouse gas emission to the earth’s atmospher...

Experimental Investigation on Glass Powder as Partial Replacement of Cement for M - 30 Concrete

Glass is needed in several forms in today’s life. Its life is limited, and after use it is either stored into sharp edged or sent to landfills. As we know glass is non-biodegradable, landfills does not recommend any environment friendly solution. In India as a most developing country, facing shortage of post consumer’s disposal waste site and it’s become very serious problems. Hence, there is s...
