Evaluation of Changes in the Ganglionic Cell inner Plexiform Layer and Macular Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer in Patients Receiving Hydroxychloroquine

نویسندگان

چکیده

Backgrounds: To evaluate changes in the thickness of ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer and macular retinal nerve fiber using ocular coherence tomography patients exposed to hydroxychloroquine .
Methods: This was a retrospective, cross-sectional study on therapy. Ocular images showing cell were obtained compared controls. The relationship between layer, duration cumulative dose evaluated.
Results: In all, 219 subjects included. Thickness significantly less than controls (p = 0.006). average RNFL control groups, but not statistically significant 0.389). There no correlation ganglionic with duration, daily dose, or hydroxychloroquine.
Conclusion: Thinning cell- inner could be an early indicator toxicity before appearance clinical retinopathy.

The Pattern of Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer and Macular Ganglion Cell-Inner Plexiform Layer Thickness Changes in Glaucoma

BACKGROUND/AIMS To investigate the patterns of retinal ganglion cell damage at different stages of glaucoma, using the circumpapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and macula ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) thicknesses. METHODS In 296 eyes of 296 glaucoma patients and 55 eyes of 55 healthy controls, the correlations of mean deviation (MD) with the superior and inferior quadran...

Macular Ganglion Cell Inner Plexiform Layer Thickness in Glaucomatous Eyes with Localized Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Defects

PURPOSE To investigate macular ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (mGCIPL) thickness in glaucomatous eyes with visible localized retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) defects on stereophotographs. METHODS 112 healthy and 149 glaucomatous eyes from the Diagnostic Innovations in Glaucoma Study (DIGS) and the African Descent and Glaucoma Evaluation Study (ADAGES) subjects had standard automated peri...

Changes of the Macular Ganglion Cell-Inner Plexiform Layer Thickness after Cataract Surgery in Glaucoma Patients

Purpose. To investigate the effect of uneventful cataract surgery on macular ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (mGC-IPL) thickness in glaucoma patients. Methods. This retrospective study included 65 eyes of 65 subjects who underwent uneventful cataract surgery, including 13 glaucoma eyes and 52 normal eyes. Using spectral domain optical coherence tomography, the mGC-IPL thickness was measured...

PURPOSE To evaluate the effect of applied suction during microkeratome-assisted laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) procedure on peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness as well as macular ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (GC-IPL) thickness. METHODS 89 patients (124 eyes) with established myopia range from -3.0 to -8.0 diopters and no associated ocular diseases were includ...
