EVALUATION OF BONY EROSION IN PATIENTS WITH ALLERGIC FUNGAL RHINOSINUSITIS

The retrospective study was conducted in Nishtar Medical Hospital & Bakhtawar Amin from January 2021 to 2022 evaluate CT findings of bone erosion and the implication surgical treatment patients with AFRS. on a total 140 patients. All underwent sinus examination before start treatment. Experienced neuroradiologist examined characteristics erosion. Data were recorded, including disease location, expansion, extension into neighboring anatomical spaces. Of patients, 26 (18.5%) had radiographic evidence 1 undergone previous endoscopic surgery. ethmoid most common site adjacent anatomic which affected due orbit. There significant association between expansion frontal, sphenoid, ethmoid, maxillary sinuses (P=.027). Bone creates route for progression intracranial cavity It is not associated fungal invasion should be accurately differentiated Sino nasal malignancy or invasive sinusitis avoid unnecessary procedures.
