چکیده
The objective of our work was the valorisation four aromatic plants growing spontaneously in Kabylia (Algeria) by evaluation their insecticidal activity against black bean aphid Aphis fabae Scopoli, 1763. These are oregano, thyme, rosemary and lavender. were subjected to a phytochemical analysis determine secondary metabolites composition. results obtained showed that extracts toxic A. can significantly reduce its populations. LD50s 7.76 %; 8.91 9.72 % 12.88 recorded for rosemary, thyme lavender respectively. In addition, screening shows presence flavonoids, tannins, saponins polyphenols. polyphenols extraction indicates oregano extract is richest with polyphenol content 218.73 (± 0.22) µg GAE ml-1. This substance has significant biocidal power.

short note- black bean aphid aphis fabae scopoli (homoptera –aphididae) an important pest of seed beet
black bean aphid is widely distributed in the world. it has several hosts from weeds and cultivated plants. this aphid passes the winter as egg on some permanent weeds, box tree and etc. young wingless hatches from the eggs in the spring and the winged aphids after appearance migrate to seed beet fields. after producing some generations, they fly to the various summer hosts such as bean, sugar ...
متن کاملLevels of clonal mixing in the black bean aphid Aphis fabae, a facultative ant mutualist.
Aphids are a worldwide pest and an important model in ecology and evolution. Little is known, however, about the genetic structure of their colonies at a microgeographic level. For example, it remains largely unknown whether most species form monoclonal or polyclonal colonies. Here, we present the first detailed study on levels of clonal mixing in a nonsocial facultative ant mutualist, the blac...
متن کاملToxicity of Three Insecticides to Lysiphlebus fabarum, a Parasitoid of the Black Bean Aphid, Aphis fabae
The toxicity of three insecticides to Lysiphlebus fabarum (Marshall) (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Aphidiinae), a parasitoid of Aphis fabae Scopoli (Hemiptera: Aphididae), was investigated using IOBC/wprs protocols. Abamectin 1.8 EC, imidacloprid 350 SC, and pymetrozine 25 WP were tested under laboratory conditions at recommended field rates. Immature stages of the parasitoid were exposed to materi...
متن کاملidentification of sources of resistance to the black bean aphid, aphis fabae scopoli, in faba bean, vicia faba l., accessions
in several parts of the world, important yield losses are caused to faba bean due to attack by the black bean aphid aphis fabae scopoli. although resistance could be a good alternative to chemical control, its genetic basis is still largely unknown; and its phenotypic expression is still poorly described, making crucial the permanent evaluation of genetic resources available in different countr...
متن کاملLarge interclone differences in melezitose secretion in the facultatively ant-tended black bean aphid Aphis fabae.
Many aphids are known to engage in a trophic mutualism with ants, whereby the aphids secrete sugary-rich honeydew which is collected by the ants for food, and the ants, in exchange, protect the aphids against natural enemies. Previous results, however, suggest that the production of some of the honeydew sugars, such as the ant-attractant trisaccharide melezitose, may induce an indirect cost to ...
