Evaluation of Amasya city tourism planning using SWOT analysis

With its natural, historical, and cultural resources, the city of Amasya offers very valuable potential in terms tourism. The center was taken under protection ‘Tourism Incentive Law’ (no. 2634) 1982. most notable parts this include historical texture particular areas where nature tourism thermal are carried out vicinity city. However, addition to positive aspects tourism, there also negative factors such as inefficient use insufficient publicity, lack planning. In order determine Amasya, study, by using a SWOT analysis, aimed reveal strengths weaknesses field well opportunities threats that it faces. For purpose, first, literature review out, followed current situation types were determined. Using information, survey consisting four questions prepared. evaluate objectively, workshop entitled ‘Evaluation City Landscape Components Terms Tourism (AKPBTAD)’ held at Büyük Hotel on 26 June 2018, with tourism-related stakeholders attendance. Participants included provincial governor, university rector, representatives from various public institutions, hotel operators, association officials, tourist guides, neighborhood representatives, self-employed individuals, academicians. conducted through face-to-face interviews total 95 these experts. frequency (percentage) values responses calculated SPSS 16.0 program. findings recommendations for improving
