Evaluating Clinical Outcomes and Impact of a Pharmacist-managed Asthma Clinic

Pharmacists have increased their clinical role in providing comprehensive care with advanced knowledge medications therapy. Clinical pharmacists the ability to provide most appropriate pharmacotherapy, education on self-management of asthma, and counseling medication use compliance. This study evaluated outcomes impact pharmacist-managed asthma clinic a federal Indian Health Service facility focusing reduced Emergency Room (ER) visits due improvement patient-reported symptoms. The Pharmacy Asthma Clinic at Lawton Hospital recruited 180 patients from age 5 70 diagnosis who were referred Primary Care Providers via Electronic Record system.
