چکیده
Aim: Objective of study was to evaluate the drug resistance pattern in various antibiotics with biofilm-producing capability Klebsiella pneumoniae. Methods: pneumoniae isolated for identification from total 83 OPD and IPD patients by analysing colony morphology, microscopic examination, performed biochemical testing. Antibiotics susceptibility Tests capacity done Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method adherence quantitative assays. Chi-square test used P < 0.05 measured as statistically significant. Results: Out isolates, 47 (56.6%) were Biofilm Producer 36 (43.4%) non-biofilm producers tissue culture method, tube 62.7% 37.3% respectively. Among biofilm producer had most Resistant Ceftazidime (100%) & (61.0%), followed Ceftriaxone (56.0%) (95.7%) The association between antibiotic checked be significant aminoglycosides, fluoroquinolones, Cephalosporin’s, Imipenem, Meropenem, Amoxyclav, Piperacillin Tazobactam. No observed against Colistin Polymyxin B. Conclusion: strain different samples showed all broad-spectrum whereas there is no found narrow-spectrum drugs. This supports use infections.

Investigating the Resistance of Klebsiella Pneumoniae Clinical Isolates Producing Carbapenemase and ESBL Enzymes to Colistin and Fosfomycin Antibiotics
Introduction: A Klebsiella pneumoniae bacterium, which is the most important species of the Klebsiella genus, mainly causes hospital infections. Moreover, it has a high resistance to most of the available antibiotics, which has caused concern among doctors all over the world. Therefore, the amount of antibiotic resistance and the effect of these antibiotics on Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates pr...

Extensively drug-resistant (XDR) Klebsiella pneumoniae is an emerging pathogen in Singapore. With limited therapeutic options available, combination antibiotics may be the only viable option. In this study, we aimed to elucidate effective antibiotic combinations against XDR K. pneumoniae isolates. Six NDM-1-producing and two OXA-181-producing K. pneumoniae strains were exposed to 12 antibiotics...
متن کاملInvestigation of the Relationship between Antibiotic Resistance and Biofilm Production in Klebsiella pneumoniae Isolated from Hamadan Hospitals, Iran
Background and Objective: The role of biofilm formation by bacteria has been considered as an important stage in the pathogenesis of Klebsiella pneumoniae. This pathogen is one of the most important opportunistic pathogen agents of nosocomial infections, such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, invasive infections, and surgical site infections. This study aimed to investigate the biofilm pr...
متن کاملAntibiotic Resistance Related to Biofilm Formation in Klebsiella pneumoniae
The Gram-negative opportunistic pathogen, Klebsiella pneumoniae, is responsible for causing a spectrum of community-acquired and nosocomial infections and typically infects patients with indwelling medical devices, especially urinary catheters, on which this microorganism is able to grow as a biofilm. The increasingly frequent acquisition of antibiotic resistance by K. pneumoniae strains has gi...
متن کاملCarbapenemase-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae
The continuing emergence of infections due to multidrug resistant bacteria is a serious public health problem. Klebsiella pneumoniae, which commonly acquires resistance encoded on mobile genetic elements, including ones that encode carbapenemases, is a prime example. K. pneumoniae carrying such genetic material, including both blaKPC and genes encoding metallo-β-lactamases, have spread globally...
