چکیده
Abstract Background and study aims Transgastric endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided drainage and, if needed, necrosectomy is the preferred treatment in patients with pancreatic walled-off necrosis. EUS-guided transcolonic or transrectal may serve as a minimally invasive alternative cases which transgastric percutaneous either impossible fails to secure sufficient drainage. In this paper, we retrospectively evaluated feasibility, safety, efficacy of treatment. We included nine found technical success rate 100%, clinical 89%, one adverse event (11%). Transrectal/transcolonic was needed seven (78%).

Ultrasound-guided drainage of walled-off pancreatic necrosis. Case report.
ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) represents a safe endoscopic procedure and serious complications (perforation, haemorrhage, and acute pancreatitis) are usually uncommon. We present the case of a 38-year-old patient with gallstones in the common biliary duct who developed acute pancreatitis after ERCP. One month later a huge fluid collection with necrotic tissue in the righ...
متن کاملEUS‐guided Management of Pancreatic Pseudocysts and Walled‐off Necrosis
The outcome for endoscopic management of pancreatic fluid collections is dependent on the type of collection being treated. While pseudocysts have an excellent treatment response, the outcomes are modest for walled ‐off pancreatic necrosis. Recent advances in cross‐sectional body imaging have enabled more accurate distinction of pancreatic fluid collections, which in turn facilitates correct tr...
متن کاملEndoscopic Necrosectomy for Walled-Off Pancreatic Necrosis
Approximately 20% of patients with acute pancreatitis develop pancreatic necrosis with significant mortality. Surgical debridement is the traditional management of necrotizing pancreatitis, but it is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Endoscopic necrosectomy using repeats session of debridement and stent insertion has been more frequently used within the last decade and half. ...

INTRODUCTION Walled-off pancreatic necrosis (WOPN) often coexists with disruption of the main pancreatic duct that manifests as a leak of contrast medium into the necrotic collection during endoscopic retrograde pancreatography. AIM To assess the efficacy and safety of treatment of patients with symptomatic WOPN and disruption of the main pancreatic duct, who underwent endoscopic transpapilla...
متن کاملInfected Walled-Off Pancreatic Necrosis following EUS-Guided Drainage Successfully Treated Using Multiple Stents in Different Sites Technique
Walled-off pancreatic necrosis (WOPN) is one of the most life-threatening complications of acute severe pancreatitis. Regarding its high mortality and morbidity without appropriate treatment, the drainage procedure is still the mainstay of the treatment for this condition. There are multiple drainage options for this event. To date, endoscopic drainage alone has not been adequate for this condi...
