چکیده
The European grapevine moth, Lobesia botrana (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) is considered to be the main pest in vineyards of Douro Demarcated Region (DDR) due economic losses it can cause. Damage caused by larvae this feeding on grape clusters, rendering them susceptible Botrytis cinerea mid-season and leading development primary secondary rot at harvest. Understanding pest´s behaviour region under future climate scenarios an increasing challenge. Hence, present study aims assess potential effects two likely change (Representative Concentration Pathways, RCP4.5 RCP8.5) phenology, particularly beginning peak three flights. Our findings show that phenological events generally occur earlier all locations mostly during long-term period 2021–2080, being 7 12 days advance scenario, 15 24 RCP8.5, when compared current values (2000–2019) regardless flight number. These results suggest a fourth complete future, will become tetravoltine species region. (male catches) infestation over periods with daily temperatures above its upper limit (> 33 °C) were also analysed 2000–2019 targeted sites. upward trend number maximum temperature °C tended accompanied decrease total male catches second third flights, as well percentage attacked bunches generations. Overall, expected influence phenology DDR.

Climatic warming increases voltinism in European butterflies and moths.
Climate change is altering geographical ranges, population dynamics and phenologies of many organisms. For ectotherms, increased ambient temperatures frequently have direct consequences for metabolic rates, activity patterns and developmental rates. Consequently, in many insect species both an earlier beginning and prolongation of seasonal duration occurred in parallel with recent global warmin...

Newly emerged adults of the European grapevine moth, Lobesia botrana (Denis and Schiffermuller) (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae), were irradiated with various doses of gamma radiation and crossed to unirradiated counterparts of the opposite sex. Fecundity was decreased when unirradiated females were mated with either 300-or 350-Gy-irradiated males. Adult males that were irradiated with 400 Gy and mat...
متن کاملLarval intraspecific competition for food in the European grapevine moth Lobesia botrana.
Effective pest management with lower amounts of pesticides relies on accurate prediction of insect pest growth rates. Knowledge of the factors governing this trait and the resulting fitness of individuals is thus necessary to refine predictions and make suitable decisions in crop protection. The European grapevine moth, Lobesia botrana, the major pest of grapes in Europe, is responsible for hug...
