2 Eta Invariants of Homogeneous Spaces

We derive a formula for the η-invariants of equivariant Dirac operators on quotients of compact Lie groups, and for their infinitesimally equivariant extension. As an example, we give some computations for spheres. Quotients M = G/H of compact Lie groups form a very special class of manifolds, but yet they provide many important examples of Riemannian manifolds with non-negative sectional curva...

Invariants of Homogeneous Spaces

We derive a formula for the η-invariants of equivariant Dirac operators on quotients of compact Lie groups, and for their infinitesimally equivariant extensions. As an example, we give some computations for spheres. Quotients M = G/H of compact Lie groups provide many important examples of Riemannian manifolds with non-negative sectional curvature. The primary characteristic classes and numbers...

Equivariant - Invariants on Homogeneous Spaces

Let D be a homogeneous Dirac operator on the quotient M = G=H of two compact connected Lie groups. We construct a deformation ~ D of D and calculate its equivariant-invariant G (~ D) explicitly on the dense subset G 0 of G that acts freely on M. On G 0 , G (~ D) and G (D) diier only by a virtual character of G.

L–eta–invariants and Their Approximation by Unitary Eta–invariants

Cochran, Orr and Teichner introduced L–eta–invariants to detect highly non–trivial examples of non slice knots. Using a recent theorem by Lück and Schick we show that their metabelian L–eta–invariants can be viewed as the limit of finite dimensional unitary representations. We recall a ribbon obstruction theorem proved by the author using finite dimensional unitary eta–invariants. We show that ...

Frames and Homogeneous Spaces

Let be a locally compact non?abelian group and be a compact subgroup of also let be a ?invariant measure on the homogeneous space . In this article, we extend the linear operator as a bounded surjective linear operator for all ?spaces with . As an application of this extension, we show that each frame for determines a frame for and each frame for arises from a frame in via...
