چکیده
Abstract Silkworm is an insect that feeds on mulberry leaves only, and silkworm powder has been reported to have antioxidant, hypoglycemic, anticholesterol activities. In this study, we measured the content of 1-deoxynojirimycin (1-DNJ) in 24 different extracts from cocoons also investigated estrogenic activities these their effects activation intracellular signaling pathways MCF-7 breast cancer cells. Among extracts, relatively high 1-DNJ activity were shown by Extract 11 (30E3H20-1), which was prepared a single extraction with 20 times volume 30% ethanol against each weight for 3 h. The estrogen receptor extract confirmed based its promoting phosphorylation α (ERα) mRNA expression ESR1 ESR2 genes. addition, treatment (30E3H20-1) increased AKT, p38, JNK, are downstream proteins ERα. Based our findings, could be developed as natural supplement future.

Estrogen increases Nrf2 activity through activation of the PI3K pathway in MCF-7 breast cancer cells.
The actions of the transcription factor Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor (Nrf2) in breast cancer have been shown to include both pro-oncogenic and anti-oncogenic activities which is influenced, at least in part, by the hormonal environment. However, direct regulation of Nrf2 by steroid hormones (estrogen and progesterone) has received only scant attention. Nrf2 is known to be regulated...
متن کاملEstrogenic Activity of Hyperforin in MCF-7 Human Breast Cancer Cells Transfected with Estrogen Receptor.
Hyperforin, a major active compound of St. John's wort extract, affects estrogenic activity. In this study, the compound evoked estrogen response element-dependent luciferase activity and cell proliferation in MCF-7 cells. Hyperforin-induced cell proliferation was significantly inhibited by the estrogen receptor antagonist ICI 182,780. These results suggested that hyperforin had estrogenic and ...
متن کاملBerberine suppresses migration of MCF-7 breast cancer cells through down-regulation of chemokine receptors
Objective(s): Berberine is one of the main alkaloids and it has been proven to have different pharmacological effects including inhibition of cell cycle and progression of apoptosis in various cancerous cells; however, its effects on cancer metastasis are not well known. Cancer cells obtain the ability to change their chemokine system and convert into metastatic cells. In this study, we examine...
متن کاملA Chip for Estrogen Receptor Action: Detection of Biomarkers Released by MCF-7 Cells through Estrogenic and Anti-Estrogenic Effects
The fluorescence-based multi-analyte chip platform for the analysis of estrogenic and anti-estrogenic substances is a new in vitro tool for the high throughput screening of environmental samples. In contrast to existing tools, the chip investigates the complex action of xenoestrogens in a human cell model by characterizing protein expression. It allows for the quantification of 10 proteins secr...

heteropoly acids (hpa) and their salts have advantages as catalysts which make them both economically and environmentally attractive, strong br?nsted acidity, exhibiting fast reversible multi-electron redox transformations under rather mild conditions, very high solubility in polar solvents, fairly high thermal stability in the solid states, and efficient oxidizing ability, so that they are imp...
