Estimating flow resistance in steep slope rills

چکیده
Recent research recognized that the slope of 18% can be used to distinguish between ‘gentle slope’ case and ‘steep for detected differences in hydraulic variables (flow depth, velocity, Reynolds number, Froude number) those representatives sediment transport capacity, actual load). In this paper, using previous measurements carried out mobile bed rills flume experiments characterized by steep slopes (i.e., greater than or equal 18%), a theoretical rill flow resistance equation estimate Darcy-Weisbach friction factor is tested. The main aim deduce relationship velocity profile parameter Γ, channel slope, number textural classes data base wide range conditions, plot (18%–84%) (clay ranging from 3% 71%). obtained also tested 47 experimental runs present investigation with incised 18%—sloping clay loam soil literature data. analysis demonstrated that: (1) texture affects Γ law (Equation 25), (2) proposed Equation (25) fits well independent testing base, (3) affected particle detachability transportability (4) linearly related slope.

Orthoprojection Tests of Hyperspectral Data in Steep Slope Zones
Nowadays hyperspectral data are really important in the environmental field. While the advantages, due to their radiometric features are broadly documented a rigorous metric verification is still absent especially in uneven areas (mountains) where the presence of steep slopes produces strong deformations on the images that have therefore to be preventively corrected. The classification potentia...
متن کاملIdentifying steep psychometric function slope quickly in clinical applications
Knowledge of an observer's psychometric function slope is potentially useful in clinical visual psychophysics (for example, perimetry), however, the short test times necessary in a clinical setting typically prevent slope estimation. We explore, using computer simulation, the performance of several possible procedures for estimating psychometric function slope within limited presentations (aimi...

متن کاملSteep slope method for real time QRS detection
A method for real time QRS detection by assessment of the signal steep slopes is proposed. It is based on comparison of the absolute value abs(D) of the differentiated electrocardiogram (ECG) to a varying threshold value. The method is independent of threshold and weighting constant. It is adaptive and self-synchronized to the steep slope of the QRS, regardless of the amplitude and the sampling...

Collective interactions in functional materials can enable novel macroscopic properties like insulator-to-metal transitions. While implementing such materials into field-effect-transistor technology can potentially augment current state-of-the-art devices by providing unique routes to overcome their conventional limits, attempts to harness the insulator-to-metal transition for high-performance ...
