چکیده
Abstract. Using co-located space-based measurements of carbon dioxide (CO2) from the Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 and Observatory-3 (OCO-2/3) monoxide (CO) nitrogen (NO2) TROPOspheric Monitoring Instrument (TROPOMI), we calculate total column enhancements for observations influenced by anthropogenic emissions urban regions relative to clean background values. We apply this method taken over or downwind 27 large (population >1 million) areas around world. Enhancement ratios between species are calculated compared derived four globally gridded inventories. find that these global inventories underestimate CO in many North American European cities our observed enhancement ratios, while smaller differences were found NO2 emissions. further demonstrate calculation intercomparison multiple tracers can help identify underlying biases leading disagreement Additionally, use high-resolution CO2 two (Los Angeles Indianapolis) estimate using good agreement with both a previous modelling study megacity Los California Air Resources Board (CARB) inventory estimates.

Outdoor carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, and sudden infant death syndrome.
AIMS To investigate whether infants who died of SIDS were more likely to have higher acute and lifetime average exposures to outdoor carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) than comparison healthy infants. METHODS A total of 169 case and 169 matched control infants born between 1988 and 1992, were studied. CO and NO2 concentrations, averaged for all days within the infant's lifespan, ...
متن کاملCatalytic Cyclocarbonylation in Compressed Carbon Dioxide: Pressure Influence of Carbon Monoxide and Carbon Dioxide
Among the current interests in organic synthesis are those reactions performing multiple C-C bond formation, in special when they undergo under catalytic conditions. Due to its properties, there is a growing interest on the use of compressed fluids (CF) as solvent media in catalytic processes. In this context, we present herein studies that aim to the development of a cleaner technology for the...
متن کاملAccumulation of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide in stored canola.
Production of carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO(2)) from canola was studied in the laboratory and in commercial storage. Canola rapidly produced amounts of CO and CO(2) far exceeding those reported for dry cereal grain and dried peas and at levels dangerous to human health. In the laboratory, canola (5.8% m.c.) was stored in sealed flasks at 25, 35 and 45 degrees C for 12 weeks. Level...
متن کاملMolecular Cluster Cations of Carbon Monoxide and Carbon Dioxide
This thesis deals with the metastable decay and the surface scattering induced fragmentation in the hyperthermal energy range of relatively weakly bound molecular cluster cations. With (CO)n and (CO2)n two related model systems were chosen for a systematic size dependent study. Surface impact experiments were carried out with stainless steel and SiO2 covered Si(100) surfaces. Results were obtai...
متن کاملNitrogen and carbon dioxide adsorption by soils.
High-resolution nitrogen (77 K) and carbon dioxide (273 K) adsorption at subatmospheric pressures has been studied for a range of model soils of various origins with different organic matter (OM) contents. It is demonstrated that N2 and CO2 molecules probe different regions of soil particles. Nitrogen is adsorbed primarily on the outer surface of soil particles, while CO2 has a higher affinity ...
