Establishment and Validation of a Four-stress Granule-related Gene Signature in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

چکیده
Background and AimsStress granules (SGs) as membrane-less cytoplasmic foci formed in response to unfavorable external stimuli could promote cancer cells adapt hostile environments. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is prone be highly aggressive once diagnosed, which markedly reduces patient survival time. Therefore, it crucial develop valid diagnostic markers prognosticate HCC prognosis, promotes individualized precision therapeutics HCC. Considering the pro-tumorigenic activity of SGs, great potential value construct a prognostic tool for based on expression profiles SG-related genes (SGGs).

Identification and validation of a novel gene signature associated with the recurrence of human hepatocellular carcinoma.
PURPOSE To improve the clinical management of human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by accurate identification, at diagnosis, of patients at risk of recurrence after primary treatment for HCC. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN Two clinicopathologic variables available at diagnosis, vascular invasion and cirrhosis, together with molecular profiling using Affymetrix human HG-U133A and HG-U133B oligonucleotide...
متن کاملHepatocellular carcinoma in a sheep
At necropsy of a five-year-old sheep, a pear shaped, lobular yellow-brownish mass measuring about 12 ×15 × 20 cm was found to involve the right hepatic lobe. Microscopic examination revealed two trabecularand solid patterns of neoplastic hepatocytes. In solid pattern, there were numerous tumoral giant cells thatcontain one or more large hyperchromatic bizarre-shaped nuclei scattered among clust...
متن کاملGene network analysis reveals a novel 22-gene signature of carbon metabolism in hepatocellular carcinoma
Although much progress has been made in understanding cancer cellular metabolism adaptation, the co-regulations between genes of metabolism and cancer pathways and their interactions remain poorly characterized. Here, we applied gene co-expression network analysis to 1509 metabolic gene expression data generated from 120 HCC and 180 non-tumor human liver tissues by microarray. Our analyses reve...
متن کاملHepatocellular Carcinoma: Carcinogenesis, Establishment, Progression, and Therapies
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has had a continuous increase worldwide in incidence over the last two decades. The development of HCC has a complicated process and correlates to numerous risk factors including hepatitis virus infection, alcoholism, food toxins, diabetes, obesity, smoking, congenital liver diseases, and errors of metabolism. Molecular links are also identified, which characteriz...
