The chamomile drug (Chamomillae anthodium) is widely known and has been used as a medicine for ages. Today, the officially registered in European Pharmacopoeia. Despite economic importance of Matricaria recutita L., little about extent nature essential oil variability composition this species Albania. Therefore, information uses various gene pools extremely valuable development future cultivation breeding programs. This study aimed to analyze differences among 29 populations different sites central quantities oils ranged from low 0.10 ± 0.01% Fier Tirana high 0.75 0.05% Linzȅ. yield volatile depended on geography, altitude, other factors, including stress influences site plant population growth. fact was confirmed by subclimatic characteristics obtained individual localities. Consequently, very intensive improvement program must begin, emphasis yield, polyploidization, quantity, both component contents oil.
