Error Assessment of GRACE and GRACE Follow? On Mass Change

چکیده
We carry out a comprehensive error assessment of Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) GRACE Follow-On (GFO) Release-6 (RL06) solutions from the Center for Space Research (CSR) at University Texas Austin, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), Geoforschungszentrum (GFZ). The study covers period April 2002 to August 2020 uses two different methods, one based upon open ocean residuals (OOR) other Three-Cornered Hat (TCH) calculation. General results methods are similar. With 300 km Gaussian smoothing OOR RMS errors CSR, JPL, GFZ ?2.01, 3.19, 3.67 cm, respectively. additional decorrelation filtering values reduced ?1.24, 1.53, 1.69 TCH analysis also shows that CSR has lowest noise levels with similar values, reduces levels. may underestimate if there common among geophysical background models. Errors in GFO's first years (25 2018.06 2020.08) comparable those when zonal degree 2 3 coefficients replaced by Satellite Laser Ranging estimates. method reveals mismodeled intra-seasonal dynamic signals associated Argentine Gyre during de-aliasing, while differences between tide models near Australia Antarctica. Both offer means assess level GRACE/GFO estimated mass change. actual uncertainty estimate averaged (or totaled) over given region is affected sources.

Accuracy of GRACE mass estimates
[1] The GRACE satellite mission is mapping the Earth’s gravity field at monthly intervals. The solutions can be used to determine monthly changes in the distribution of water on land and in the ocean. Most GRACE studies to-date have focussed on producing maps of mass variability, with little discussion of the errors in those maps. Error estimates, though, are necessary if GRACE is to be used as...
متن کاملGreenland mass balance from GRACE
[1] We use 22 monthly GRACE (Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment) gravity fields to estimate the linear trend in Greenland ice mass during 2002–2004. We recover a decrease in total ice mass of 82 ± 28 km of ice per year, consistent with estimates from other techniques. Our uncertainty estimate is dominated by the effects of GRACE measurement errors and errors in our post glacial rebound (PG...

whence she had come nor whither she was bound, for she had no record of any kind with her. When she was questioned her vocabulary seemed to consist solely of head shakings and a few utterly unintelligible syllables. It is not recorded how Grace happened to be thrust into a second grade that first day. But it was the second grade teacher who began to complain, a few days later, of "that little n...
متن کاملNeeds Assessment for Grace Adult
Interpersonal skills have always been a foundation for any human civilization. Current research, as well as practical data illustrates that there is no exception for the need for interpersonal skills in today' s business .environment. Current research discusses the growing need for such skills in today' s business environment, specifically management. Practical observation is uncovering the imp...
