Homotopy Groups of Moduli Spaces of Representations

We calculate certain homotopy groups of the moduli spaces for representations of a compact oriented surface in the Lie groups GL(n,C) and U(p, q). Our approach relies on the interpretation of these representations in terms of Higgs bundles and uses Bott–Morse theory on the corresponding moduli spaces.

Moduli spaces of local G-shtukas

We give an overview of the theory of local G-shtukas and their moduli spaces that were introduced in joint work of U. Hartl and the author, and in the past years studied by many people. We also discuss relations to moduli of global G-shtukas, properties of their special fiber through affine Deligne-Lusztig varieties and of their generic fiber, such as the period map.

MODULI SPACES OF p-DIVISIBLE GROUPS

We study the global structure of moduli spaces of quasi-isogenies of p-divisible groups introduced by Rapoport and Zink. We determine their dimensions and their sets of connected components and of irreducible components. If the isocrystals of the p-divisible groups are simple, we compute the cohomology of the moduli space. As an application we determine which moduli spaces are smooth.

Holonomy Quantization of Moduli Spaces & Grothendieck Groups

Gelfand’s [1] charecterization of a topological space M by the duality relationship of M and A = F(M), the commutative algebra of functions on this space has deep implications including the development of spectral calculas by Connes [2].We investigate this scheme in this paper in the context of Monopole Moduli Space M using Seiberg-Witten Equations [3].A observation has been made here that the ...

Rolling G 2 Moduli

We study the time evolution of freely rolling moduli in the context of M-theory on a G2 manifold. This free evolution approximates the correct dynamics of the system at sufficiently large values of the moduli when effects from non-perturbative potentials and flux are negligible. Moduli fall into two classes, namely bulk moduli and blow-up moduli. We obtain a number of non-trivial solutions for ...
