Erlang-Distributed SEIR Epidemic Models with Cross-Diffusion

چکیده

We explore the effects of cross-diffusion dynamics in epidemiological models. Using reaction–diffusion models infectious disease, we explicitly consider situations where an individual a category will move according to concentration individuals other categories. Namely, model susceptible moving away from infected and individuals. Here, show that including these results delay onset epidemic increase total number This representation provides more realistic spatiotemporal disease classes Erlang SEIR allows us study how spatial mobility, due social behavior, can affect spread epidemic. found tailored control measures, such as targeted testing, contact tracing, isolation individuals, be effective mitigating diseases while minimizing negative impact on society economy.

On epidemic models with nonlinear cross-diffusion

Modelling and simulation of infectious diseases help to predict the likely outcome of an epidemic. A well-known generic model type for the quantitative description of the epidemic evolution dynamics by an ordinary differential equation is provided by so-called SIR models. These models classify a population into “suscepti-ble” (S), “infected” (I) and “recovered” (R) subgroups. One very early and...

Global Stability in Some Seir Epidemic Models

The dynamics of many epidemic models for infectious diseases that spread in a single host population demonstrate a threshold phenomenon If the basic reproduction number R is below unity the disease free equilibrium P is globally stable in the feasible region and the disease always dies out If R a unique endemic equilibrium P is globally asymptotically stable in the interior of the feasible regi...

Robust Sliding Control of SEIR Epidemic Models

This paper is aimed at designing a robust vaccination strategy capable of eradicating an infectious disease from a population regardless of the potential uncertainty in the parameters defining the disease. For this purpose, a control theoretic approach based on a sliding-mode control law is used. Initially, the controller is designed assuming certain knowledge of an upper-bound of the uncertain...

A comparison of delayed SIR and SEIR epidemic models

Abstract. In epidemiological research literatures, a latent or incubation period can be medelled by incorporating it as a delay effect (delayed SIR models), or by introducing an exposed class (SEIR models). In this paper we propose a comparison of a delayed SIR model and its corresponding SEIR model in terms of local stability. Also some numerical simulations are given to illustrate the theoret...

Extinction and Recurrence of Multi-group SEIR Epidemic Models with Stochastic Perturbations

In this paper, we consider a class of multi-group SEIR epidemic models with stochastic perturbations. By the method of stochastic Lyapunov functions, we study their asymptotic behavior in terms of the intensity of the stochastic perturbations and the reproductive number R0. When the perturbations are sufficiently large, the exposed and infective components decay exponentially to zero whilst the...
