ERADICATING HARDCORE POVERTYVIA ZAKAT DISTRIBUTION: A CASE STUDYAMONG POORAND NEEDY ASNAFS IN SIK, KEDAH

Hardcore poverty is a problem that still plagues the community in this country. Although various efforts have been implemented by Malaysian Government to overcome it, but until now these havent succeeded achieving goals set before. Zakat social and economic system its implementation controlled government. Through zakat provision, Islam has ahead of times defending plight poor needy asnafs. In 2021, Kedah State Board (LZNK) reported on increasing number asnafs as well insufficient distribution Kedah. Thus, study was conducted analyse forms can eradicate hardcore among asnafsin Sik, This used qualitative design, where data collected through library research semi-structured interviews with informants from District Office (PZD)Sik, The findings were then analyzed using content analysis method. results prove LZNK, especially PZDSik, are struggling eliminate cocoon urges parties involved towards improvements aspect so future it help line role security tool.
