Equivalent plane strain model of stone column reinforced foundation

چکیده
Stone column replacement of soft soil foundation construction method is more and used in water conservancy projects. On the one hand, stone has high permeability, which enhances dissipation capacity excess pore pressure; on other it a stiffness, reduces additional stress soil, therefore pressure. These two mechanisms work together to improve bearing soil. In previous plane strain transformation model column-soil, only permeability simply considered, while stiffness ignored. According research results, based principle genetic algorithm, this paper puts forward conversion models consider considers kinds action mechanism gravel pile at same time. The results finite element calculation show that considering columns are consistent with axisymmetric model.

Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Reinforced Sand Slope Using Geogird Encased Stone Column
Among all of the slope stability methods, use of stone columns and geosynthetic elements can be a good way for stabilizing. One of the efficient ways in order to reinforce earth slopes is Geogrid Encased Stone Column (GESC). This technique can dramatically increase bearing capacity and decrease settlement rate. The aim of this paper is experimentally to investigate a comparison between the beha...
متن کاملThe settlement performance of stone column foundations
Vibrated stone columns are frequently used as a method of reinforcing soft ground as they provide increased bearing capacity and reduce foundation settlements. Their performance in relation to bearing capacity is well documented, but there is also a need for enhanced understanding of their settlement characteristics, particularly in relation to small-group configurations. This paper presents re...
متن کاملBending-Unbending Analysis of Anisotropic Sheet under Plane Strain Condition
The mechanical behavior of cold rolled sheets is significantly related to residual stresses that arise from bending and unbending processes. Measurement of residual stresses is mostly limited to surface measurement techniques. Experimental determination of stress variation through thickness is difficult and time-consuming. This paper presents a closed form solution for residual stresses, in whi...

متن کاملA Foundation of a Theory of Software Evolution based on the Equivalent Transformation Model
One of the most important problems of software evolution is to develop a technique of generating new programs with small costs when the specification is changed [4]. Let S be a specification and P a program. Assume that we denote S ` P iff P satisfies S. The problem of software evolution is to find (efficient) P2 such that S2 ` P2 (with small costs) when given specifications S1 and S2, and a pr...
