چکیده

This study aims to investigate the biosorption of Pb (II) by living and nonliving biomass Penicillium notatum. notatum PTCC 5074 was purchased from Iran Scientific-Industrial Research Organization in lyophilized form after culturing potato dextrose agar propagated Sabouraud broth medium. The highest adsorption (180.74 187.08 mg/g per dry weight biomass, respectively) at concentration 228 mg/L ionic strength 43 terms Ca2+ 1.2 g/L concentration. optimum contact time temperature were 37 hours 32.5°C, respectively. Kinetic studies showed that Pb(II) both cases follows a pseudo-second-order reaction. process consistent with Langmuir model state, whereas favourite models for state Freundlich. Thermodynamic constants indicated exothermic endothermic, obtained results states is suitable development an efficient economic biosorbent removal aqueous environments.

Equilibrium, kinetic and thermodynamic studies on biosorption of lead(II) and cadmium(II) from aqueous solution by polypores biomass

Polypores (woody pore fungi) biomass has been used as an biosorbent for the removal of Pb(II) and Cd(II) from aqueous solution under batch equilibrium experimental conditions. The resulting biosorbent is characterized by SEM and FTIR techniques. The effect of experimental parameters, such as solution pH, biomass dosage, contact time, initial metal ion concentration and temperature of Pb(II) and...

Biosorption of Lead (II) and Zinc (II) ions by pre-treated biomass of phanerochaete chrysosporium

The biosorption of heavy metals can be an effective process for the removal of such metal ions from aqueous solutions. In this study, the adsorption properties of nonliving biomass of phanerochaete chrysosporium for Pb (II) and Zn (II) were investigated by the use of batch adsorption techniques. The effects of initial metal ion concentration, initial pH, biosorbent concentration, stirring speed...

Equilibrium, Kinetic, and Thermodynamic Studies of Lead (ii) Biosorption on Sesame Leaf

Sesame leaf, an agricultural solid waste, was used as low cost adsorbent for removal of Pb(II) from aqueous solution in batch mode. The biosorbent was characterized by thermo-gravimetric analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The influences of phase contact time, solution pH, adsorbent dosage, and initial concentrations were investigated to optimize the conditions for maximum ads...

1. to determine whether difference in birth body mass influenced growth performance in pipistrellus kuhlii we studied a total of 12 captive-born neonates. bats were assigned to two body mass groups: light birth body mass (lbw: 0.89 ± 0.05, n=8) and heavy birth body mass (hbw: 1.35 ± 0.08, n=4). heavier body mass at birth was associated with rapid postnatal growth (body mass and forearm length) ...
