Equation balance in time series analysis: lessons learned and lessons needed

Abstract The papers in this symposium use Monte Carlo simulations to demonstrate the consequences of estimating time series models with variables that are different orders integration. In summary, I do following: very briefly outline what we learn from papers; identify an apparent contradiction might increase, rather than decrease, confusion around concept a balanced model; suggest resolution; and few areas research could further increase our understanding how dynamics be combined. doing these things, there is still lack clarity practitioner demonstrates balance, Pickup Kellstedt (2021) call (0) balance.
