چکیده

Abstract Aims Evaluating predictive significance of tumour size in patients undergoing curative colorectal cancer surgery. Methods Patients surgery (77.6% Laparoscopic) for by a single surgeon between January 2013 and 2020 inclusive. Linear/binary logistic regression analyses were modelled to assess whether colonic or rectal could predict R0 resection, specimen length, length >120mm, number harvested lymph nodes, >12 positive lymphocytic infiltration, venous invasion, overall survival. Results Total 192 (124 colon 68 cancers) eligible. In patients, was independent predictor the nodes (P < 0.001), = infiltration 0.009). It did not resection 0.563), 0.111), >120mm 0.186), 0.145), invasion 0.103), 5-year survival 0.543). Independent cancers 0.001). 0.108), 0.774), 0.405), 0.069), 0.912), 0.105), 0.413). Conclusions Current study results suggest alone may have significant value terms oncological outcomes rectum.

Outcomes of Surgical Decompression for Spinal Metastases from Gynecological Cancers: A Retrospective Cohort Study

BACKGROUND & AIM: Gynecological cancer is one of the most common types of cancer worldwide. Nonetheless, spinal metastasis from gynecological cancer is scarcely reported in the literature. In cases of spinal cord compression, the standard treatment is a decompressive surgery followed by radiotherapy treatment for selected patients. This study aimed to report the overall survival and surgical re...

Prognostic significance of multiple molecular markers for patients with stage II colorectal cancer undergoing curative resection.

OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to determine whether our constructed high-sensitivity colorimetric membrane-array method could detect circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in the peripheral blood of stage II colorectal cancer (CRC) patients and so identify a subgroup of patients who are at high risk for relapse. SUMMARY BACKGROUND DATA Adjuvant chemotherapy is not routinely recommended in patien...

Glasgow prognostic score as a prognostic factor in patients undergoing curative surgery for colorectal cancer.

BACKGROUND/AIMS Systemic inflammatory responses have been reported to be independent predictors of cancer-specific survival in colorectal cancer. The Glasgow Prognostic Score (GPS), which is an inflammation-based prognostic factor, is defined by the presence of elevated C-reactive protein and hypoalbuminemia. The purpose of this study was to estimate whether GPS can be a prognostic factor in pa...
